The department came into existence in the year 1966. The department is fully equipped with all modern teaching aids and vast collection of reference books to facilities students in learning process and research activities.
The department provides facilities for learning Political Theory and Indian Political thought under graduate level. Learning can be performed in western Political Theory, International Relations, Comparative Politics, Issues in public Administration, Indian Government and Politics, Modern Indian thought, Contemporary Issues, Indian Adminstration and International organization at post graduate level. The deparment provides facilities to conduct and carry out Micro Level Research
