The college has a spacious playground and a common room with the provision of indoor games. The department of Physical Education trains and encourages students to participate in sports competitions at inter-collegiate, state, national and international level such as cricket, volley ball, chess, basket ball, power lifting, baseball, athletics, etc. |

|
The college promotes inclusive practices for social justice and better stakeholder relationships. Students belonging to SC/ST/OBC and economically backward sections of the society are provided equal opportunities through government scholarships and awards. Approximately 45% of college students receive financial assistance from state government, central government and other national agencies. Efforts are made to uplift academically weak students by organizing remedial classes. Special coaching classes for preparation for UGC/NET/SET exams are organized under the aegis of UGC scheme to promote the interests of students belonging to economically weaker sections of society. The college is differently-abled friendly and pays special attention in terms of support services. |

In its 56 year period of excellence and glorious service to the cause of education, the college has introduced a number of undergraduate and post-graduate courses in government-aided scheme; B.Lib., M.Lib., M.Sc. Biotechnology, BBA and BCA in self-finance scheme; and various add-on courses such as ‘O’ Level, ‘A’ Level, BCC and CCC that are affiliated to NIELIT. During this period, the college has also introduced various correspondence courses which are affiliated to IGNOU and Rajashri Tandon open universities. As per the recommendations of the NAAC Peer Team, BBA and BCA in self-finance scheme have been introduced. All these courses equip the students to face the job market confidently and to carve a niche for themselves in the chosen field. |

No stone is left unturned by the college in providing a conducive environment to its students to pursue academics to the fullest. The central library with more than 1, 25,000 books is fully automated and have reading rooms with more than 200 seats. The central library subscribes 30 research journals and magazines and has reprographic and internet facilities. E-library with 20+01 computers, internet and INFLIBNET facility has been developed. All departments have their respective departmental library. |

Information and communication technology (ICT) is an important component of teaching/learning process of the college. Smart classrooms are used in various departments for effective delivery of teaching material. They also help teachers to present more content within the available time and enable students to understand different concepts in a better way. In the department of English, post-graduate classes are taught literature with the help of audio-visual aids while in the department of sciences, video demonstrations of certain experiments are shown to students of post-graduate classes. |

The college also has a multipurpose open-air theater where movies /videos of educational and recreational value are screened. Seminar hall of the college greatly assists the process of teaching/learning and is used extensively for organizing special lectures or/and presentations. It is also used for purposes of conducting Ph.d. viva-voce of research scholars and to carry out intellectual discussions with students in small groups. The college auditorium is the place where a host of literary, cultural and recreational activities of the college culminate. It facilitates smooth and effective interaction by means of comfortable seating arrangements, proper lighting system, and other upgraded paraphernalia such as mikes, speakers, etc. |

A major publication of the college is ‘Ritambhara’, the annual bi-lingual magazine. Besides providing an opportunity to students to publish their write-ups, the magazine also involves them as student editors in varied areas right from editing to designing to printing. A number of departments also have wall magazine whose display is handled by the students. Language skills namely, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills of students are enhanced through special classes that are held periodically by the department of English. |
